Think about the following statement: You can tell a lot about a person by the neighborhood in which he or she lives. Do you agree with this statement? Why or why not? Explain your response with one example from your life.
After responding to this question, read at least one other classmate's blog post and write a constructive response to it.

I completely disagree with that because they could be the nicest person in the world and live in a neighborhood that is rude and trashy just because they live in a bad neighborhood doesn't change anything about them.
Good start Brianna.
No, you can't tell a lot about a person by the neighborhood which he or she lives in. You can't tell because it doesn't matter where they come from or where they live or where they're from.
i dont think that shows alot because people are different and they might be really nice in a bad neighborhood
JTR:)
I do not agree with this statement because some people are good and live in a bad part of town. I used to live in a bad part of town and people thought i was bad which i wasn't.

yes because if they have garbage in there neighborhood then they are not very clean people .
ye si do agree with this statement because sometimes people can be mean if they are in a bad neighborhood and sometimes if its a good neighborhood that person mite be a nice person
I absolutely disagree with that because I have seen people grow up in horrible, degrading places, and still grow to be a very smart and healthy person. I believe that your neighborhood has an impact on your life, but doesn't determine who your going to be in life.
morganK good response to what the question asked :)
Brandon...what do you mean by mean? and good? Define mean and good.
No, i do not agree with that statement, because it says nothing about them. Someone could live in a bad neighborhood and where bad stuff happens all the time and there super nice and have nice stuff and clothes. One example is from my life is I live in the country by cornfields and such, and I'm not country at all.
Katie that doesn't make sense
i think this statement is true because i know a lot of people who lived at bad neighborhoods and they dress and acted like thugs.
9 agree and disagree because a person could live in the the trashy neighborhood but be realy fancy in a realy nice house. and another person could live int a realy nice looking neighbor hood and be realy trashy.

Jordan...tell me more about those "impacts"

Brandon- i know you know people who are nice that live in a bad neighborhood.
i disagree because they could be nice and live in a bad neighborhood
Thats really good and so true, Jordan! :)
same here brandon.
no because poeple can be different than there family. just because they live in a crappy house that doesent mean there bad people.
I do not agree that because some kids Come out great from a bad neighborhood. Think about the blind side. But in most cases people with bad neighborhoods and households end out doing drugs or other things.
This is true and false. If people live in a bad neighborhood they are bad people because they are whom makes up the neighborhood. same applies with a good neighborhood they are usually good people. There may be only a handful of good people in a bad neighborhood of only a handful of bad people in a good neighbor hood.

yes because
if they want to clean up there act then they can change how the neighborhood .
let's use other words than nice and good...be more specific
Mario- I bet you know people whole in good neighborhoods that do drugs too. or people in bad neighborhoods that are good people. Maybe they just cant afford big expensive houses. Ever think of that?
I agree and disagree... I agree because if they live in a bad neighborhood, even if they were nice, some things in the neighborhood could influence them and make them do things they wouldn't usually do. but on the other hand, I disagree because some people who're completely innocent sometimes live in bad areas but that doesn't make them bad people. Eh?
Jordan A -- great example -- why might living in a bad neighborhood produce a "good" kid?
you said that twice rutger aka spiker
rutgir u need detail
Aj- I think it needs a little more explanation
nikkya ya we all know that your not at all country !:)
jordan anderson,
I like how you answered the question that was given to you.
good word Rutger...influences!
i have not a clue
Jon thanks for your positive imput on my comment :)
I disagree with this statement because i have a friend in chicago that lives in the nastiest and most horrible city in illinois. He has been my friend since we were little boys. He is the one who stands out in the city because he is not like all of the other people he is nice, kind, and has decent grades in school. Just because you live in a bad city doesn't mean you will turn out to be bad.
no you cant tell a lot about a person just by the neighborhood they live in. Because some people don't have a choose where they live.maybe its because there parent.but you can't Judge a person by where the live because maybe they have a good Reason for living in the neighborhood.
Thanks.
It could be true because at first you could be nice, but then a friend of yours introduces a drug to you. Living in the country like me, you barely get to get out and hang out with friends. If you live in the city you can get in more trouble because you are bound to do drugs around a lot of people. There for if you live in a neighborhood with other people who do drugs you are bound to do them to.
katie,
That doesn't mean they are bad
i agree with your statement nikkya, i change my mind on my response.

Bri yours was very good
RUTGER!!! happy now
Luis...so why is he do different? What motivated him to not just be "bad" like everybody else? Does he have good family support?
luis Godinez i disagree with you strongly because if someone comes out of a bad neighborhood there is a very slim chance of them being a good person
Jennifer Know how you feel i used to live in a bad city and people always thought i was a bad kid until they got to meet me.
i agree on jordans blog
yours was awsome briana JON SAID :D
i think this is false because good people come from bad neighborhoods. And ik someone who lives in michigan city who is very nice. Taylor Venice
Chase-- you are "bound to" do drugs just because you live in the same neighborhood with them? why?
Bre,
I like how you wrote that it was very good
thank you to all my haters that didn't comment on my post I love ya'll.
i think this class has alot of thoughts
i disagree with you Raymond because they could come out good, they just might not have the money to live in a fancy house, or enough money to buy clothes. There parents could also teach them the right way They could be the nicest person in the world. You dont need to live in a good neighborhood to be a good person.
jennifer that was a good comment that you posted.
